CHIEF COMMERCIAL OFFICER , ONEBRIGHT
Tim Dunn , Chief Commercial Officer , Onebright , speaks to us about his most memorable achievement , life outside of the office and emerging technologies within the healthcare space .

C

Can you tell us about your current position ?
As the Chief Commercial Officer for Onebright , I lead and manage all aspects of Onebright commercial functions , including sales , marketing and product development . After spending many years in the private medical insurance sector I ’ m really enjoying focusing on one aspect of clinical service delivery .
At our core , Onebright is a people business , matching those who require help to the services they need and my focus is to build the solutions that help us do that . Technology is playing an integral part as an enabler in this journey .
What would you describe as your most memorable achievement ?
I don ’ t think I can pick out one achievement , I have been very fortunate to work in some amazing teams with some great people .
I can remember the feeling I got when I won my first large corporate contract 12 or so years ago – a multinational

Although , as with all wins , it was the product of a huge team effort . As you move into management , it is exciting to nurture talent and then watch employees have those same experiences , knowing that you ’ ve had a small part to play . I have so many happy memories of the great work that people have done , including the celebratory drinks that followed .
What style of management philosophy do you employ in your current position ?
I ’ m not one for top-down management and am not keen on hierarchical structures . Even more so now with my move to Onebright . The quality of the team here is exceptional ; I ’ ve got a great balance of experience across clinical and commercial teams and across differing market segments .
This means everyone is adding value and contributing via their own personal style .
I do my best to make sure we give the team the freedom and confidence to deliver their best . I take lots from those whom I ’ ve worked for in the past – companies trusted me to do my job but guided me when required . It seemed to work well for me .
If you could go back and change one career decision , what would it be ?
I don ’ t think there is anything I ’ d do differently . It sounds a bit cheesy but I ’ m in such a privileged position , one I ’ m really enjoying . All my decisions have led me to this place , so I ’ ll leave them as they are .
