Colt Data Centre Services , a leading provider of global Stellium Data Centres , owner and operator of one of the UK ’ s largest purpose-built data centre campuses , has announced a strategic partnership with ITPS , enabling the fast-growing County Durham headquartered technology services provider to bolster its failover and Disaster Recovery ( DR ) capabilities at its own state-of-the-art data centre . To include a direct point of presence ( POP ) at Stellium 1 , this follows ITPS ’ s requirement for ensuring guaranteed uptime and service availability to its public and private sector clients .

4 . GERMANY
Norwegian data centre company , Green Mountain , has entered into an agreement with energy company , KMW , to establish a new 54MW data centre site in Mainz , 30km outside Frankfurt . Both companies have a 50 % stake in the new joint venture . Renewables from KMW ’ s portfolio will support the data centre and operate according to high sustainability standards . Three data centre buildings are planned at the new 25,000 sqm site situated in an already existing industrial area adjacent to KMW ’ s power plants .
