Earth Wind & Power has announced it has signed a Letter of Intent for a strategic alliance with Rapid Oil Production Ltd ( RPO ), a UK based oil production company . Leveraging the complementary strengths of both firms the partnership intends to carry out a joint feasibility-study for the potential deployment of modular data centre infrastructure at RPO ’ s Fyne field project in the UK North Sea sector . RPO owns 100 % of the Fyne licence , which contains an estimated 24 million barrels of recoverable oil .

Globenet , a leading wholesale telecommunications and edge data centre services provider in Latin America , has announced the buildout of a new edge data centre in Fortaleza . This new state-of-the-art edge data centre , integrated with Globenet ’ s ecosystem of content providers , service providers and IXs , as well as Globenet ’ s low latency submarine network and redundant terrestrial backhauls , will contribute to bring customers closer to the content with optimal performance .
