Flexenclosure, a data centre specialist
headquartered in Sweden, has completed
construction of a new eCentre data centre for Tigo
Business in Nicaragua. This is one of six new data centres
Flexenclosure is delivering for Millicom’s Tigo operations,
as part of Millicom’s ambitious programme to improve
data infrastructure across Latin America. The new data
centre is located in the Nicaraguan capital of Managua.
It was built in Flexenclosure’s manufacturing plant in
Sweden before being transported to site for final
construction and commissioning.

Smart Dubai announced a landmark
collaboration with Microsoft which aims to
accelerate Digital Transformation across the emirate
and empower government employees to innovate faster.
Under the terms of a memorandum of understanding
(MoU), Microsoft will support Smart Dubai in its Digital
Transformation journey by accelerating adoption of Microsoft
Cloud technologies and conduct targeted training sessions as
well as upskilling workshops in cloud and other associated
technologies. Under the MoU, Microsoft’s UAE data
centres that are expected to open this year, will be
used to support the Government of Dubai’s Digital
Transformation efforts through the adoption of
a range of Microsoft technologies.
