CXO INSIGHT thought about it , but I think in over the last three to five years , e-learning went from something nice to have to simply a better way to learn . I think you ' re going to see increasingly digital learning , virtual cohort learning , online self-study and micro-credentials becoming the norm .
Why should businesses be constantly investing in and improving their corporate learning solutions ?
There are a couple of key reasons . You always want to be investing in your people and their capabilities . Most organisations are driven by the capabilities of their people , they ’ re delivering digital experiences that are relying on their employees ’ proficiencies with technology and their ability to work effectively with teams . Even more traditional brick-and-mortar businesses are becoming increasingly digital – the pandemic accelerated that . All this requires a whole new set of skills .

Traditional education institutions don ' t update their curricula quickly enough to fill that need . And so , at the end of the day , it comes back to how do employers and organisations take on this burden ?
How can businesses strategically plan and bridge the skills gap to help retain current and future staff ?
The first thing is you need to chart and prioritise what the top skills are for your organisation and how they impact the business .
We found that companies are more effective if they have a broader strategy for business . For example , an enterprise may want to normalise and leverage data so that it has more precise analytics and make more informed product recommendations to customers .
These types of goals , generally have a commercial measure , in dollars . If you start with a business objective like
