With this agreement expansion , Emerson has validated the Dragos Platform within its DeltaV distributed control system ( DCS ), providing organisations with greatly enhanced ICS / OT cybersecurity .
This extended agreement builds on the initial global agreement between Dragos and Emerson to protect industrial control systems and operational technologies for power producers and water utilities to now include organisations in dozens of industries including oil and gas , chemical , petrochemical , food and beverage , pharmaceutical , pulp and paper , metals and mining and others .
The Dragos OT Security Platform is focused on reducing cyberrisk to industrial environments . It provides visibility into assets and vulnerabilities , detects cyberthreats to industrial systems and enables efficient response through forensic investigation and OT-specific playbooks .
In addition , Dragos is incorporating DeltaV DCS platformspecific capabilities into the Dragos platform , including protocol dissectors , asset characterisations , threat behaviour analytics and investigation playbooks to expand Emerson ’ s cybersecurity assessment capabilities and enhance threat detection and response for process industries .

Keeper Security announces FedRAMP Authorisation

eeper Security , a leading provider of Zero Trust and

K zero-knowledge cybersecurity software protecting passwords , secrets and connections , has announced that the company has obtained FedRAMP Authorisation at the Moderate Impact Level for its Keeper Security Government Cloud ( KSGC ).

The KSGC password management and security solution has successfully completed the rigorous FedRAMP accreditation process . This highly sought-after and difficult-to-attain
designation sets KSGC apart from its competitors as one of the best-in-class Zero Trust and zero-knowledge security solutions for government agencies to protect their passwords , data and secrets . KSGC is hosted in AWS GovCloud ( US ), designed to host sensitive data , regulated workloads and address the most stringent US government security and compliance requirements .
To receive FedRAMP Authorisation , organisations must implement controls from 17 different control families that originate from National Institute of Standards and Technology Special Publication 800-53 . This alone can take organisations months or years , depending on the complexity of the system .
Authorisation can only be pursued by an organisation through partnering with a federal agency or the Joint Authorisation Board ( JAB ). Additionally , the system must be evaluated and assessed by an authorised independent third-party auditor prior to submitting for final review and authorisation by the FedRAMP Program Management Office .
“ Keeper is proud to bring its password management and cybersecurity platform to FedRAMP Authorised status ,” said Darren Guccione , CEO and Co-founder of Keeper Security . “ This authorisation demonstrates Keeper ’ s longstanding – and , some would say , fanatical – commitment to the highest standards of internal security controls and encryption .”
