Cybereason , the XDR company , has issued a global threat alert advisory warning global organisations about a rise in ransomware attacks from the Black Basta gang . The Black Basta gang emerged in April 2022 and has victimised nearly 50 companies in the US , UK , Australia , New Zealand and Canada . Organisations in English speaking countries appear to be targets . Cybereason assesses the threat level of ransomware attacks against global organisations today being HIGHLY SEVERE .

An international law enforcement operation involving 11 countries has resulted in the takedown of one of the fastest-spreading mobile malware to date . Known as FluBot , this Android malware has been spreading aggressively through SMS , stealing passwords , online banking details and other sensitive information from infected smartphones across the world . Its infrastructure was successfully disrupted earlier in May by the Dutch Police ( Politie ), rendering this strain of malware inactive . www . intelligentciso . com
