threat updates EUROPE It has been reported that German car parts maker, Gedia Automotive Group, has been forced to close its IT operations after suffering from a massive cyberattack. The automotive group based in Attendorn has been the victim of a cyberattack by a gang using ransomware known as Sodinokibi. The company supplies lightweight chassis parts to carmakers worldwide to Spain, Poland, Hungary, China and the US. The company said in a statement that as a result of the attack, it immediately shut down its systems to prevent a complete breakdown of IT infrastructure.
