Salesforce announces Vaccine Cloud to accelerate global vaccine management

“ The biggest challenge the world faces right now is orchestrating the distribution of billions of vaccine doses . Technology can play a critical role in ensuring it ’ s done efficiently , effectively and equitably ,” said Bret Taylor , President and COO of Salesforce .
Healthcare provider organizations can use Vaccine Cloud to streamline vaccination processes , such as inventory management , staff training and education , and payment and reimbursement .

Salesforce , a leader in CRM , has announced Vaccine Cloud to help organisations more efficiently deploy and manage their vaccine programs .

Vaccine Cloud helps governments , healthcare organizations , businesses and non-profits around the world design , build and manage vaccine programs at scale quickly on the Salesforce Customer 360 platform , including mobility solutions , bots , analytics and integration capabilities .
US organisations using the technology include Northwell Health , Illinois ’ Lake County and the University of Massachusetts Amherst .
Jefferson McMillan-Wilhoit , Director of Health Informatics and Technology of the Lake County Health Department in Illinois , said : “ Our cloud-based AllVax system enables us to shield our community and employees from some of the difficult logistical pieces of the vaccination process to focus and execute on our core mission – promoting the health and well-being of all who live , work and play in Lake County .”

US health department utilizes ServiceNow platform to accelerate vaccination program

North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services is using the ServiceNow platform to accelerate its vaccination program . ServiceNow solutions are addressing vaccine management challenges at scale by removing logistical barriers to speed up the immunization process . The State of North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services is among more than 100 organizations currently working with ServiceNow on their vaccine management efforts .

“ To help get our more than 10 million North Carolinians vaccinated quickly and efficiently , the State of North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services is using the ServiceNow platform to power our COVID Vaccine Management System ( CVMS ) Help Desk Portal ,” said Thomas Parrish , Acting Secretary and State CIO for the North Carolina Department of Information Technology .
“ Leveraging ServiceNow , we also were able to assist NCDHHS in developing a workflow on the CVMS Help Desk Portal that digitizes the process of requesting and securing state approval to transfer vaccines to different locations . What was previously a manual , time intensive process can now be completed through the portal with a few clicks – ultimately accelerating the immunization process .”
