Wasabi Technologies has introduced Wasabi Surveillance Cloud , a solution enabling the offload of video surveillance footage from local storage environments directly to the cloud without ever running out of capacity . This ‘ bottomless ’ approach to video storage is vital for a surveillance industry currently struggling to manage enormous amounts of video in high resolution environments , increasingly large file sizes , stringent regulatory and retention requirements , and business and analytics applications tied to surveillance .
IDC ’ s Video Surveillance Survey 2022 shows a growing number of enterprises expect their video surveillance storage requirements will increase over the next three years . However , the cost of updating existing technology stacks is prohibitive .
“ Enterprises increasingly recognize the cost savings , agility and video data accessibility that cloud storage provides , but they need a way to maintain the benefits of their existing technology stack as well ,” said Mike Jude , Research Director , Video Surveillance and Vision Applications , IDC .
Actify says EG Industries , a Tier 1 supplier to the automotive industry , has achieved significant program management improvements from early adoption of the Actify APM suite – a purpose-built automotive program management software . To bring added scalability to its automotive program management activities , EG Industries tried out several different software tools with varying degrees of success .
The Actify suite was seen as an ideal solution for EG Industries as it was designed in partnership with leading suppliers specifically for automotive program management . Actify APM equips program teams with enterprise-class cloud technology to streamline dayto-day operations across the program lifecycle . The solution also pulls together the information needed to effectively manage the end-to-end program lifecycle and is flexible and customizable .
EG says Actify ’ s system has simplified processes , making it faster and easier for teams to go into the system , check off whatever they have to check off and update the program status .
Mark43 has achieved State Risk and Authorization Management Program ( StateRAMP ) ‘ In Process ’ designation , demonstrating commitment to the highest levels of security controls in its cloud-native public safety technology platform . This designation verifies Mark43 ’ s rigorous security posture and industry-leading standards of compliance and application monitoring . Mark43 expects to reach full StateRAMP authorization later this year through the ‘ Fast Track ’ process . This is a special process specifically designed for cloud providers like Mark43 that have received a FedRAMP Provisional Authority to Operate ( P-ATO ).
“ Having an independently verified designation for public safety customers to ensure their vendor maintains the highest levels of cybersecurity controls is not a ‘ nice-to-have ’ – it ’ s a ‘ must-have ’ in today ’ s reality of ever-present security risks ,” said Mark43 Chief Information Security Officer , Larry Zorio .
“ Our technology solutions include the cyber controls needed to serve law enforcement professionals , first responders and our communities .”
