Global non-profit health system Cleveland Clinic and IBM begin installation of IBM Quantum System One

Global health system Cleveland Clinic and IBM have begun deployment of an IBM Quantum System , which is to be located on Cleveland Clinic ’ s main campus in Cleveland .

The first quantum computer in healthcare , anticipated to be completed in early 2023 , is a key part of the two organizations ’ 10- year partnership aimed at fundamentally advancing the pace of biomedical research through high-performance computing .
Announced in 2021 , the Cleveland Clinic-IBM Discovery Accelerator is a joint center that leverages Cleveland Clinic ’ s medical expertise with the technology expertise of IBM , including its leadership in Quantum Computing .

Michigan recognized for IT excellence in national rating

The State of Michigan was recognized by the Center for Digital Government ( CDG ) as one of the top-performing states in the country for its use of technology to improve and secure government services .

The CDG ’ s biennial Digital States Survey awarded Michigan with an A grade , the highest honor . The state has received an A grade in every survey since its inception , seven consecutive times . The CDG noted the continuing efforts to modernize state systems , focus on cybersecurity and improve customer service as its reasons for this year ’ s honor .
The Digital States Survey was designed to highlight best and emerging technology practices that serve as models and / or can be shared across state borders .
The survey recognizes these achievements and provides a common reference for all 50 states in the on-going work of finding better ways to do the public ’ s business .
The center evaluates each state ’ s survey responses based on criteria that include actions to support its state priorities and policies to improve operations or services , hard and soft-dollar savings / benefits , innovative and citizen-centric services , effective collaboration and progress since the last survey . States receiving high grades demonstrate strong results across all the criteria .
