Hazelcast unveils real-time intelligent applications platform

The Hazelcast Platform combines the capabilities of a real-time stream processing engine with in-memory computing to deliver a simplified architecture that is highly performant , scalable and reliable .
Per a recent global survey of 600 IT decision makers , nearly four out of five professionals indicated they are facing some level of difficulty merging real-time streaming data and data at rest . With the Hazelcast Platform , enterprises can unify event streams with the context of traditional data sources , such as databases and data lakes , to accelerate revenue growth , significantly lower risk or drive cost efficiencies .
“ While data continues to be an enterprise ’ s most valuable resource , it ’ s only useful if they can derive actionable insights in a timely manner ,” said Kelly Herrell , CEO of Hazelcast . “ The Hazelcast Platform represents a monumental step forward for the creation of real-time , intelligent applications that help enterprises capture the value they otherwise would miss .”

Hazelcast , the real-time intelligent applications platform , has announced the new Hazelcast Platform enterprise software capable of serving as a single platform for transactional , operational and analytical workloads .

As part of the company ’ s collaboration with IBM , features from the Hazelcast Platform will also be made available through the Hazelcast Platform for IBM Cloud Paks , an integrated software offering that runs on Red Hat OpenShift .

The Home Depot and Google Cloud partner to enhance shopping experience

Google Cloud and The Home Depot have extended their multiyear cloud partnership to expand on the retailer ’ s Digital Transformation and provide customers with enhanced shopping experiences by blending physical and digital environments .

As one of the first major retailers to migrate its website to the cloud , The Home Depot , based in Atlanta , has built upon Google Cloud ’ s expertise in infrastructure , Artificial Intelligence , Machine Learning , and data analytics to enrich customer experiences no matter how they choose to shop-in-store , online or on mobile devices .
