Colorado ’ s Arapahoe County migrates to SAP S / 4HANA improve budget forecasting and reduce time to prepare reports and process expenses , as well as enhance user experience within the systems that support the county ’ s financial , HR and payroll processes .
“ We owe it to the citizens to manage county funds responsibly and operate as efficiently as possible ,” Arapahoe County Finance Director , Todd Weaver said .
“ Getting to the new platform will enhance our ability to do that .”
Arapahoe County , part of the Denver metropolitan area in Colorado , has completed its migration to SAP S / 4HANA on time and under budget , cementing it as a technology leader in the public sector .
“ Arapahoe County ’ s move to SAP S / 4HANA shows how state and local government agencies can quickly seize emerging technologies and digital capabilities to transform internal operations for the benefit of the citizens they serve ,” said Brian Roach , SAP North America Senior Vice President and Managing Director of Regulated Industries .
The initiative is part of the five-year strategic plan Arapahoe County developed to increase visibility into budget and spend trends ,
The migration to SAP S / 4HANA is intended to enable Colorado ’ s third-largest county to continue to operate efficiently , fulfilling the needs of its citizens , employees and stakeholders while positioning the county to make further improvements in analytics , grants and funds management , budget processes , back-office process automation and user self-service going forward .
Shopify expands partnership with Google Cloud to enable global growth
Google Cloud and Shopify , a leading global commerce company , has announced an expanded partnership that will enable Shopify ’ s more than 1.7 million merchants to have access to Google Cloud ’ s technology across a broader set of regions . As a part of this partnership , Shopify will leverage Google Cloud ’ s global infrastructure to reduce latency and give shoppers more personalized and engaging experiences .
Google Cloud ’ s network of 25 regions and 76 availability zones around the world provides lower latency and higher reliability , allowing
Shopify to provide a fast , highly-available service to merchants around the world .
Google ’ s Global Virtual Private Cloud ( VPC ) will make it easier for Shopify to write and deploy applications that span multiple regions .
“ Our partnership with Google Cloud will mean that more Shopify merchants around the world have access to competitive computing technologies that would otherwise only be available to enterprise brands ,” said Farhan Thawar , VP of Engineering , Shopify .
