Welcome to the latest edition of Intelligent CIO Middle East . Barracuda , a trusted partner , and global provider of cloud- first security solutions recently released its Fourth- Annual Threat Research Report on Ransomware . The latest report looks at ransomware attack patterns that occurred between August 2021 and July 2022 . For the 106 highly publicised attacks Barracuda researchers analysed , the dominant targets are still five key industries : education ( 15 %), municipalities ( 12 %), healthcare ( 12 %), infrastructure ( 8 %) and financial ( 6 %).
In this regard , we continue to cover articles in this edition of the magazine that address the issue of ransomware and guide CIOs how they can assist their organisations to deal with ransomware threats .
Gracing the cover of this month ’ s edition is Natalya Makarochkina , Senior Vice President , Secure Power Division at Schneider Electric , who tells us how organisations can best use sustainability strategies , the purpose of ESGs and the current sustainability landscape of data centres in the Middle East and internationally .
