Batelco and Ericsson have signed a memorandum of understanding ( MoU ) to collaborate on next generation 5G technologies and innovations in line with the Kingdom of Bahrain ’ s digital economy vision . The latest MoU is part of Batelco ’ s efforts to enhance its network capabilities to achieve future goals for 5G technology , in addition to supporting development programmes for new use cases that highlight the potential of 5G for consumers and enterprises .

Keyston Distribution has announced that the company has signed a distribution agreement with Western Digital Corporation ( WDC ), a global provider of data storage solutions . The agreement authorises Keyston to distribute and promote the complete range of Western Digital Consumer Solutions to meet the growing level of demand in the Iraq Region . Western Digital has long been at the forefront of game-changing innovations and continues to mark its expansion across the Middle East .

SAUDI ARABIA
The International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation ( ITFC ), a member of the Islamic Development Bank ( IsDB ) Group , in collaboration with the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Cameroon and the Commonwealth Secretariat , recently organised a digital boot camp to build the capacity of women owned MSMEs in the areas of digital trade and e-commerce and online sales . The workshop focused on building the innovative skills of women-owned MSMEs operating in the sectors of agribusiness including agro-processing , wholesale and retail trade , education , health and social services , arts and crafts , events management , food , and beverage , hospitality , and tourism .

AIQ and Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence ( MBZUAI ) have signed a memorandum of understanding ( MoU ) that will energise joint research into AI related technologies with an emphasis on solutions for the energy sector . The agreement was signed in the presence of AIQ CEO Omar Al Marzooqi , MBZUAI President , Professor Eric Xing , and senior management from both organisations .
To enhance its customer relations channels , Orange has stepped up the digitalisation of its offerings and developed 21 bots available in 11 countries in Africa and Middle East . In Jordan , Orange launched “ Jood ” in June 2022 , which is a new offering providing more data , with a 100 % digital customer journey , from ordering to delivery , including all assistance . Similar offers are planned soon in Egypt , Côte d ’ Ivoire , and Senegal .
Under the terms of the MoU , AIQ and MBZUAI will collaborate on a wide range of advanced technologies as well as the exploration of a joint lab or research and development centre .
