Bitglass adds South America Edge Data Centers to portfolio
Bitglass has announced new edge data centers in
Bogota in Colombia , Buenos Aires in Argentina , Santiago in Chile and São Paulo in Brazil to boost its capacity in Latin America .
As a result , Bitglass users in South America will now experience faster performance , benefiting from the company ’ s unique PolyScale architecture on the public cloud , delivering increased performance uptime as well as scalability .
Bitglass leverages the public cloud to deliver security and performance , while the company says competing cloud security vendors are built on inelastic appliances .
Bitglass says its tests show significant performance boosts in South America via the Bitglass edge data centers , compared to direct access to SaaS apps such as Office 365 .
