Liberty Latin America hosts first annual tech summit
Liberty Latin America has hosted its first annual Tech Summit at the RIU Plaza in Panama City , Panama .
The company welcomed over 500 attendees under the theme ‘ Driving Growth through Innovation ’. The summit focused on the critical importance of innovation in driving business opportunities and economic development across the region , as well as how the company was improving customer experience through automated tools , developing new products , growing fixed-mobile convergence and providing next-generation B2B solutions .
At the summit , Liberty Latin America showcased its products and services , including Hybrid Cloud , Private Networks , Always On connectivity , Next-Gen Unified Communications , Video Analytics , its portfolio of 5G handsets and how e-SIM would be deployed across the region . In addition , the company shared how it was preparing its fixed networks to deliver higher speeds , enhancing mobile performance through a new wireless core and enabling IT transformation .

This challenge has been reinforced by the current global macroeconomic environment , dominated by inflation and potential disruptions in supply chains .
In the Latin American region , 72 % of executives surveyed stated that the increased use of AI and Machine Learning provides opportunities to increase efficiency and productivity . Digital Transformation was also key for C-level executives to have a greater participation in strategic decisions ,
However , there are still obstacles that stand in the way of increasing efficiency , such as the difficulty in implementing changes in the company ’ s culture , the digitization of manual operations , and the management of ever-increasing amounts of data .
