Digitalization key to aims of IV EU-Colombia Forum

The European Commission has announced the launch of the EU-Latin America Digital Alliance and a new bilateral partnership between Europe and Colombia .

The IV EU-Colombia Forum , organized by the Euroamerica Foundation , followed on March 15 and 16 with the conference bringing together over 230 attendees , including high-level institutional representation from both sides , to discuss key issues of a common agenda and the vision for the future between the two regions .
The focus of the conference was on the triple transition of digital , green and social issues , with a particular emphasis on people , investment and trade relations between Colombia and the EU . Attendees emphasized the importance of productive transformation of the economy through digitization in a sustainable and inclusive manner .
At the conference ’ s inauguration , Ramón Jáuregui , the President of the Euroamerica Foundation , emphasized Europe ’ s strong commitment to building a solid collaboration with Latin America , with the support of Spain , which will assume the Presidency of the Council of the European Union during the second half of 2023 . It is expected that during this period , relations between the two regions will be strengthened around a common agenda .
