Rackspace Technology renews its Google Cloud MSP designation for LATAM

Rackspace Technology , a leading end-to-end , multicloud technology solutions company , has achieved designation as a Google Cloud Managed Services Provider ( MSP ) for its operations in Latin America ( LATAM ).

After having completed and approved formal validation of its capabilities on Google Cloud , Rackspace Technology has renewed its designation as an MSP partner for Google Cloud for a second time in a row .
For many organizations , having a qualified MSP helps ensure technology solutions are driving key business objectives . In the case of Rackspace Technology , obtaining the Google Cloud MSP designation demonstrates the skills , knowledge and experience of its talent in LATAM for the benefit of customers .

LATAM organizations using Rackspace Technology managed services for their Google Cloud workloads include FIFCO ( Florida Ice & Farm Co .), a Costa Rican company which relies on support from Rackspace to support Business Continuity in its critical beverages , food and real estate sectors .

Cable Bahamas taps Nokia for FTTH deployment

Stephen Curran , Chief Technical Officer at the Cable Bahamas Group , said : “ At the end of this exercise we will boast the most advanced FTTH network in the entire region with XGS- PON technology .”

Nokia will deploy its XGS-PON equipment for Cable Bahamas ’ s new fibre-tothe-home ( FTTH ) network , as part of the operator ’ s comprehensive network upgrade .

The upgrade process is set to bridge the next four years and aims to introduce broadband to regions in the Bahamas that presently have no access to fibre connectivity .
Nokia is the only FTTH equipment provider for the project , offering its full range of solutions to Cable Bahamas . The operator says this will decrease its operating costs via

With this new XGS-PON deployment , Cable Bahamas will have one of the most advanced networks in the region .”
The deployment aims at providing connectivity to 99 % of the 80,000 business and residential addresses in the Bahamas ’ most populated island , New Providence , by 2026 .
