Positivo Tecnologia announces licensing of Compaq brand

Positivo Tecnologia has announced the licensing of the Compaq brand and the incorporation of operations to manufacture , market and provide technical assistance in notebook , desktop and all-in-one models in Brazil . This agreement was made in an environment of greater demand for notebooks in Brazil , due to the pandemic ’ s effects .

Hélio Rotenberg , CEO , Positivo Tecnologia , said : “ By licensing the brand and bringing Compaq ’ s operations to Positivo Tecnologia , we are ratifying the consolidation of the business model with global companies . In this way , we want to continue adding quality products in our operation , leveraging scale gains and improving the relationship with our customers , partners and suppliers .”
With the deal , Positivo Tecnologia consolidates itself as a large multi-brand platform for manufacturing , distributing and servicing hardware technology solutions in
Brazil . It will also allow a more comprehensive performance in the notebook sector with the Positivo , Vaio and Compaq brands , reaching all segments of the Brazilian market .
Compaq will be led by Camilo Stefanelli who will occupy the position of CEO for the brand in Brazil . “ As a competitor , I have always admired the work and competence of Positivo Tecnologia ,” he said .

This volume represents 1.219 kilograms of materials contaminated with heavy metals that were saved from being dumped in industrial landfills and released into the environment . In addition , the recycling of the collected material led to a reduction in the extraction of copper and , also , a saving in energy consumption sufficient to supply 155 homes for one month .
