NEWS CRITICAL Software unveils plans to open four new offices C RITICAL Software has unveiled plans to open four new offices in the countryside of Portugal. Offices in Vila Real, Viseu, Tomar and Évora are soon expected to open their doors. The decision represents a significant investment that will benefit both CRITICAL Software and local communities across Portugal. In recent years, the country has struggled with a talent exodus from its inner regions to the bigger cities on the coastline. By opening new offices inland, CRITICAL Software is creating opportunities for individuals who want to work in diverse, high-tech sectors without necessarily needing to relocate. Gonçalo Quadros, CEO of CRITICAL Software, commented: “By opening new offices in these locations, we are reminding people that they do not have to leave what they love behind to secure a great career. They can stay near their families and enjoy the quality of life that living in the countryside brings while also enjoying a fantastic career in technology.” The new offices will initially provide around 60 new career opportunities, providing a welcome boost to the communities where they will be based. With these four new locations and strong growth also expected at its existing offices, CRITICAL Software is welcoming applications from candidates looking to work on exciting projects alongside talented teams. “CRITICAL excels in tackling the most demanding engineering challenges. Throughout our 20 years, we’ve achieved what we have because of the dedication of our people. We aim to recruit passionate, driven and creative individuals and to provide them with a working environment where they are looked after and can thrive. This is what sets us apart from our peers and we’re immensely proud of that,” said Quadros. ///////////////// Vodafone launches Super Wi-Fi solutions house, so providing an uninterrupted Wi-Fi experience. All this is thanks to state-of-the- art Wi-Fi MESH technology, which Vodafone is introducing into its offer, making it the first Portuguese operator to offer this technological innovation. Super Wi-Fi Premium also includes antivirus and antimalware protection as well as parental control. The solution has a monthly subscription of €9.90, with a setup cost of €50. The installation is carried out by certified specialist technicians who measure the signal in all the rooms in order to find the best option for each individual house. V odafone has launched yet another innovative solution as part of its Tv Net Voz offer: Super Wi-Fi. Because homes are not all the same and every customer has their specific Internet requirements, Vodafone now offers its customers options that enable the Wi-Fi to reach all rooms in the house with greater speed and range. www.intelligentcio.com With Super Wi-Fi Premium it is possible to expand Wi-Fi coverage to everywhere in the house by installing multiple broadcasters. Wi-Fi transmission takes place in a directional way, i.e. devices (smartphones, PCs, etc) automatically connect to the signal with greater power, following the user as he or she moves around the For customers who do not need such a specialised solution, Vodafone is also offering Super Wi-Fi Extra. This is a solution that enhances the in-house Wi-Fi range by adding a second wireless network with technology, similar to that of the next-generation Vodafone Smart Router (802.11ac) to maximise the Internet access speed.
