UNITED KINGDOM
Siemens Energy , together with its consortium partner , Sumitomo Electric , have signed a contract with Greenlink Interconnector Limited . Siemens Energy will deliver the High-Voltage Direct Current ( HVDC ) converter technology for the 190km electricity interconnector Greenlink . The 500-MW HVDC link will connect the power grids of Ireland and Great Britain . Work will begin at the start of 2022 following financial close .

SPAIN
Oracle and Telefonica España have announced a multi-year collaboration to accelerate the telecom company ’ s cloud adoption and the development of new communication services for consumers and businesses . Telefonica will migrate the bulk of its Oracle Database systems to Oracle Exadata Cloud @ Customer , building a dedicated cloud platform on-premises to support provisioning and delivery of new services , as well as Telefonica ’ s mission-critical operational and commercial systems including its BSS and OSS platforms and applications , business intelligence systems , CRM , billing and revenue management .

NORWAY
Telia Norway recently passed the milestone of 1,000 5G sites in Norway as Ericsson continues to support the communications service provider in achieving nationwide 5G coverage by 2023 . The strategic partnership enables Telia Norway to be at the forefront of 5G and continue to set the bar high . The next goal is to add to the 1.5 million Norwegians who already have access to 5G and provide half of the country ’ s population with 5G coverage this year .

GERMANY
Atos has announced that it has completed the acquisition of cv cryptovision GmbH , a leader in advanced cryptographic products and solutions for securing digital identities . In addition to bringing new technical capabilities and cybersecurity products to the group ’ s portfolio , the acquisition will enable Atos to expand its business in the public sector and defence market in Europe to strengthen its position in global government eID initiatives and to grow its footprint in emerging IoT markets .
