European public services organisations overspending on technology by at least £ 2.4 million

have downsized their workforce , and almost a quarter ( 23 %) have downsized the IT team specifically . 46 % are sweating IT assets for longer , and 36 % are consolidating physical office facilities . In the same period , investment in areas such as software , IT support and infrastructure has increased .

A organisations are under pressure to reduce costs during the ongoing pandemic , yet an inability to optimise IT spending is significantly hampering efforts , Insight research has found . For example , unused software licences cost these organisations an average of £ 2.4 million /€ 2.64 million a year – enough to pay the wages of 50 skilled IT specialists .

The inability to optimise IT costs means organisations have to find savings elsewhere . Since March 2020 , 52 % of organisations

Orange Cyberdefense now offers Vade Secure ’ s email protection solutions in seven European countries

Vade Secure , a global leader in predictive email defence , protecting one billion mailboxes worldwide , has announced the extension of its partnership with Orange Cyberdefense . The email security solutions developed by Vade Secure ( Vade Secure for Microsoft 365 and Vade Secure Cloud ) are included by Orange Cyberdefense within its Email Protection offer and marketed to companies by the Orange Business Services unit .

Already available to Orange customers in France , Vade Secure ’ s solutions will now also be available through Email Protection in seven European countries : the United Kingdom , Sweden , Norway , Denmark , Belgium , the Netherlands and Germany .
Orange has been using Vade Secure since 2011 to protect its email services for individuals as part of its Internet Service Provider offer , and since 2018 , to protect the email services of its corporate customers as part of its Email Protection offer .
