The Mediapro Group, Telefónica and Transports
Metropolitans de Barcelona (TMB) have developed the first 5G
Augmented Reality (AR) project that allows passengers on a tour
bus to view immersive content projected onto the front window
of the vehicle, superimposed on the landscape or monuments they
observe while touring.
The 5G Augmented Tourism project was presented during a tour
of the mountain of Montjuïc (Barcelona) in which users of
the Barcelona Bus Turístic (BBT) of TMB were treated to an
enhanced tourist experience thanks to AR content with data
and information on the places they were encountering
on the tour.
ITALY
The Sapienza University of Rome is now using the digital teaching
platform from the international medical imaging and cybersecurity
company, Sectra, to continue its doctor training remotely. This means
that students can continue to receive a high-quality and interactive
education despite the limitations brought about by the closing of
educational institutions as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
