NEWS Accenture helps Louvre revamp its digital strategy to further enrich visitor experience T he Louvre, which hosts more than 10 million visitors annually, is revamping its digital strategy with the help of Accenture. The initiative demonstrates the Louvre’s ongoing commitment to enhance the way it welcomes visitors and promotes its collections through a complete review of the museum experience for the general public, academics, scientists, researchers and employees of the museum. Accenture Interactive, the Experience Agency, is helping the Louvre define its strategic plan as part of a pro-bono corporate citizenship initiative that began more than 15 years ago. Claude Chaffiotte, Managing Director for Accenture Interactive in France and Benelux, said: “The Louvre’s top management has placed visitors, employees, professionals and researchers at the centre of its strategic planning. “Accenture Interactive, the Experience Agency, is helping the museum leverage the latest technological innovations to identify and implement a range of initiatives that can make the experience for each type of visitor to the Louvre as unique as the museum itself.” ///////////////// Introducing the Midlands Centre for Cyber Security S peller Metcalfe, one of the UK’s leading construction companies based in the Midlands, is to build a multi-million-pound cybersecurity centre in Hereford, Herefordshire. The building will offer a three-storey research space and teaching building for the univerity’s Cyber Security Research Institute.It will also provide office space for up to 20 local cybersecurity businesses. The new Cyber Quarter Midlands Centre for Cyber Security has been designed by Associated Architects and is a joint venture between The University of Wolverhampton and Herefordshire Council. The centre will be based at Skylon Park in the Hereford Enterprise Zone. The main three-storey building will house business suites, innovation rooms, IT workshops and a ‘cyber range’ – a cutting-edge facility that will defend against the global rise of hacking.
