This month’s cover story comes from our ‘Industry Watch’ feature, which focuses on construction and looks at the partnership between Commvault and international engineering enterprise Laing O’Rourke. The partnership between the two companies has proven to be a success as the implementation of Commvault’s data management system has enabled Laing O’Rourke to better manage its data. We further explore data handling and protection in one of our case studies. The banking enterprise Credit Agricole Group implemented OpenText Archiving’s solution which has enabled it to securely archive customer credit card data. The implementation of OpenText’s solution has been successful, as the Credit Agricole Group is now able to search for specific data more productively. The process is also extremely secure which is highly beneficial to the banking enterprise. In our second case study, we take a look at how business outsourcing company MSXI utilises RingCentral’s mobile services to connect its global workforce and improve business efficiency. This month’s ‘Country Focus’ focuses on France and we look at how Paris-based Metori Capital Management company utilises cloud management services to improve control over its assets. The story explores how the company implemented Microsoft Azure’s scalable cloud solution to allow it to deliver a seamless and efficient service. We also consider business transformation in this month’s issue, with our ‘CIO Opinion’ focusing on how enterprises must adapt to rapid evolution within the Information Technology industry. The story advises CIOs on how to transform their businesses innovatively and understand that adaptation isn’t a choice if companies wish to stay successful. Similarly, our ‘Editor’s Question’ advises CIOs on how they should prepare for security challenges and thus avoid breaches. We also discuss security in the form of blockchain with BeyondTrust’s CTO.
