IN-DEPTH ANALYSIS | LATEST INTELLIGENCE | REGIONAL IMPLEMENTATIONS
EDITOR’S NOTE
W
elcome to the second edition
of Intelligent CIO Europe. This
month’s cover story comes
from our ‘Industry Watch’ feature, which
focuses on construction and looks at the
partnership between Commvault and
international engineering enterprise Laing
O’Rourke. The partnership between the two
companies has proven to be a success as
the implementation of Commvault’s data
management system has enabled Laing
O’Rourke to better manage its data.
We further explore data handling and
protection in one of our case studies.
The banking enterprise Credit Agricole
Group implemented OpenText Archiving’s
solution which has enabled it to securely
archive customer credit card data. The
implementation of OpenText’s solution has
been successful, as the Credit Agricole Group
is now able to search for specific data more
productively. The process is also extremely
secure which is highly beneficial to the
banking enterprise.
In our second case study, we take a look at
how business outsourcing company MSXI
utilises RingCentral’s mobile services to
connect its global workforce and improve
business efficiency. MSXI has adapted and it
can now communicate with clients via more
www.intelligentcio.com
than just voice calls thanks to RingCentral’s
scalable solution.
This month’s ‘Country Focus’ focuses on
France and we look at how Paris-based Metori
Capital Management company utilises cloud
management services to improve control
over its assets. The story explores how the
company implemented Microsoft Azure’s
scalable cloud solution to allow it to deliver a
seamless and efficient service.
We also consider business transformation in
this month’s issue, with our ‘CIO Opinion’
focusing on how enterprises must adapt
to rapid evolution within the Information
Technology industry. The story advises
CIOs on how to transform their businesses
innovatively and understand that
adaptation isn’t a choice if companies wish
to stay successful.
Similarly, our ‘Editor’s Question’ advises
CIOs on how they should prepare for security
challenges and thus avoid breaches.
We also discuss security in the form of
blockchain with BeyondTrust’s CTO. He
provides us with a detailed insight into the
ways businesses can protect themselves
against cryptocurrency hackers, a topic
which is currently extremely prominent.
We look closely at disruptive technology and
investigate the use of artificial intelligence
within the workplace. AI appears to be
providing advantages to businesses and
contributing to their development. AI is
particularly well-integrated within the
FinTech industry where procedures are
utilised that decipher information in a way
humans are incapable of.
To round off this edition of the magazine,
our ‘Get To Know’ feature sees Avi Raichel,
CIO of Zerto, tell us about the way he
unwinds outside of the office.
