LATEST INTELLIGENCE LATEST REGIONAL PROJECT UPDATE UK Digital challenger bank Tandem is partnering with Personetics, the leading provider of cognitive banking applications, to harness the power of artificial intelligence towards its promise of putting the customer first. A survey conducted by Red Bricks research on behalf of Personetics shows that 45% of traditional UK bank customers could switch their current account to an alternative financial institution such as a challenger bank, retailer, or FinTech company. Customer experience was cited by consumers as the key driver when choosing their banking provider – they felt that their finances were better understood, better guided and better managed by new providers rather than traditional banks. Powered by Personetics’ Cognitive Banking Brain, Tandem will provide customers with personalised insights and advice integrated into the bank’s everyday digital experience. Delivering on the promise to put customer interests first, these insights are designed to anticipate customer needs, simplify money management and help customers reach their financial goals. FRANCE SunPower has announced that 750 kilowatts of high efficiency SunPower E-Series solar panels are powering three new carports in Grenoble. The project was led by regional utility GEG, in coordination with OSER and Grenoble Alpes Metropole, as part of its PARKOSOL programme. PARKOSOL develops solar carport projects to serve the greater Grenoble area. “Solar carports make sense because they provide electricity as well as shade,” said GEG Production Director, Daniel Besson. “High efficiency SunPower solar panels were the best choice for our carports because they maximise electricity output in space-constrained areas and are recognised for high performance and reliability. The panels are manufactured sustainably, which enables these projects to meet environmental standards set by CRE, France’s energy regulatory commission.” “Compared to conventional panels, SunPower E-Series solar panels produce 45% more energy in the same space over 25 years and offer the solar industry’s best warranty, guaranteeing power and product quality for 25 years,” added SunPower Executive Vice President, Peter Aschenbrenner. 34 INTELLIGENTCIO www.intelligentcio.com
