Ericsson announces the appointment
of new President
E
ricsson has announced the appointment of Luís Miguel Silva as the
new Executive President of Ericsson in Portugal. Under the new title,
Luís Miguel Silva will be responsible for the business and operations –
including customer relations, business development and relationship
between government and regulators – from Ericsson Portugal. Luís
Miguel Silva will also be part of the team at Ericsson Iberia.
Luís Miguel Silva has extensive experience in Information
Technology and Communications, with more than 20 years of
experience in the telecommunications market, and 15 years of
regional management experience in Portugal, Spain, Brazil and
Latin America. He also has 10 years of global account management

experience and nine years of experience in BSS and business
consulting. Luís Miguel Silva joined Ericsson in July 2014, where he
has performed several leadership positions within the IT, cloud and
TV business areas in Spain and Portugal.
Currently, Luis Miguel is the Director of Digital Services for
Telecommunications Operators at Ericsson Iberia.
Miguel also has a degree in Telecommunications Engineering
from Instituto Superior and has a Master’s degree in Business
Management, specialising in Marketing and Strategic Management.
Luis Miguel succeeds Pedro Queirós, who has left the company.
