“ The importance of AI was only intensified by the advent of remote working ,” said Li . “ Darktrace was the only tool that adapted with us , fully protecting our dynamic workforce . The physical perimeter around our organization dissolved , but with AI we were not constrained by partial visibility , and our security operations center continued to receive immediate , real-time warnings of truly anomalous activities .”

In this month ’ s Trending , Lee Thompson , Managing Director at Nutanix A / NZ , tells us how we are witnessing the birth of the ‘ hybrid workplace ’ at the same time as more than 40 % of Australian organizations are increasing their hybrid cloud investment . “ To develop a fully operational hybrid workplace and workforce , and meet these new expectations , we need to go a level deeper in how we think about and use technology ,” he tells us . “ Businesses need to create the right ‘ engine ’ to power it and that engine is cloud .”

We also take a detailed look at how 5G is shaping the future of construction . Christian Neyle , IT Manager , at construction company Taylor , tells us how 5G is powering the construction site of tomorrow and discusses how one of the first real-world deployments of 5G connectivity was rolled out by the visionary company . He tells us : “ Telstra has demonstrated the power of the 5G network using 360 degree 8k cameras to stream live footage down across the country without latency issues or connection problems .”
