Motorola Solutions gives Japan ’ s tourism sector a mission-critical boost the global pandemic , almost 200 million domestic and international travellers transited through the airports annually .
Yoshikazu Takahashi , President and CEO , Nippon Airport Radio Services , said the performance of the TETRA communications network and two-way radios had far exceeded expectations .
Motorola Solutions has extended the reach of interconnected communications to Kansai International Airport .
It is the fifth major airport in Japan to deploy mission-critical communications based on the TETRA standard .
Motorola Solutions with its partner , Nippon Airport Radio Services , deployed the mission critical communication system to Kansai , following the successful integration of Narita ,
Naha , Haneda and Chubu international airports between 2016 and 2019 .
The latest deployment comes as Japan ’ s tourism and aviation sectors mark an important milestone in its recovery from the global pandemic , reopening borders to international tour groups from this month .
Collectively , the five airports experience high levels of passenger traffic and the largest inflows of Japan ’ s international cargo . Before

NAVER Cloud hosts Korea ’ s first sovereign cloud-based HSM service
Thales has announced it is helping NAVER Cloud launch the first
Korean sovereign cloud Hardware Security Module ( HSM ) -as-aservice powered by Thales ’ Luna Network Hardware Security Module .
The new service helps businesses meet the strict regulatory and industry mandates for control of their data and encryption as they transition from on-premises environments to a cloud or hybrid environment .
The new NAVER Cloud HSM-as-a-service allows customers to maintain independent ownership of their encryption keys , thus improving security management , control and convenience .
NAVER Cloud performs all the required configuration and management so customers can focus on the services they provide .
