TBM Council launches Asia-Pacific Chapter and appoints regional experts

The TBM Council APAC was formed to cultivate a regional community of technology and financial leaders who leverage data on cost , consumption , quality and performance to improve alignment and continuously optimize technology spend . The new APAC Regional Advisory Board is co-chaired by Craig Wishart , CIO at KPMG Australia and Head of KPMG ASPAC Technology Services Group , and Gerard Florian , Group Executive , Technology at ANZ .

Management ( TBM ) Council has announced the formation of its Asia- Pacific chapter and appointed a Regional Advisory Board comprised of financial and technology executives from Australia and Singapore .
The TBM Council is a not-for-profit organization that promotes TBM standards and practices to empower collaboration between IT leaders and business partners .
Technology Business Management ( TBM ) is a value management framework used by CIOs , CTOs , CFOs and their teams to translate technology investments to business value , drive organizational alignment and accelerate data-driven decision-making .
“ The purpose of the TBM Council APAC will be to develop communities for collaboration , education and standards development ,” said Wishart . “ The priority is to establish a strategy community for TBM adoption . We will then turn our focus to vertical communities , and we will offer certification courses to senior IT leaders and finance managers to arm them with essential knowledge to drive business transformation within IT by running a successful TBM program .”

NTT expands its global data center footprint by 20 %

NTT ’ s Global Data Centers division is expanding its global data center footprint by 20 % to benefit enterprise clients and hyperscalers around the world .

NTT operates data centers across Europe , North America , Africa and Asia , including a major presence in India . It delivers and operates global interconnected data centers with cross-regional data center networks through key markets such as London , Singapore , Tokyo and Virginia in the US .
Its expansions in data center services provide increased data center capacity and network connectivity across all geographies .
Masaaki Moribayashi , President and Board Director for NTT Ltd , said : “ The pandemic has dramatically changed our way of life . People ’ s quality of life now fundamentally depends on this infrastructure . In the next 18 months , NTT plans to increase data center operations by 20 % to a total of over 600,000m2 ( approx . 6.5M ft2 ) of floorspace in over 20 countries and regions .
“ In addition , NTT will globally expand approximately 30 connection points of GDCI service in our data centers to optimize the enterprise hybrid cloud environment over NTT ’ s data centers and network services .
NTT has already started construction to add 300MW of IT load to its portfolio .
“ With the completion of new data centers , expanded campuses and highcapacity networks such as the MIST submarine cable , we are building a connected future that will benefit NTT ’ s clients around the world .”
