JAPAN
AMD has announced that AMD EPYC 7003 Series processors will be used to power a new supercomputer for the National Supercomputing Centre ( NSCC ) Singapore , the national highperformance computing ( HPC ) resource center dedicated to supporting science and engineering computing needs . The system will be based on the HPE Cray EX supercomputer and will use a combination of the EPYC 7763 and EPYC 75F3 processors . The supercomputer is planned to be fully operational by 2022 and is expected to have a peak theoretical performance of 10 petaFLOPS , eight times faster than NSCC ’ s existing pool of HPC resources . Researchers will use the system to advance scientific research across biomedicine , genomics , diseases and climate .
NEC Corporation has announced the development of an AI technology for supporting doctors in determining if colorectal lesions are neoplastic or non-neoplastic . NEC developed a new technology , called Cx20 , while seeking to assist in the early detection of colorectal lesions . Cx20 has already met the requirements for CE marking , a European safety , health and environmental protection standard , and will be integrated in the medical device AI diagnostic support software WISE VISION Endoscopy , with sales expected to start in Europe later this year .

Huawei has released its 2020 Sustainability Report . The report describes the major progress that Huawei has made over the past year in its four strategies for sustainability : Digital Inclusion , Security and Trustworthiness , Environmental Protection , and Healthy and Harmonious Ecosystem , as well as its contributions to the UN SDGs . Huawei ’ s vision and mission is to bring digital to every person , home and organization for a fully connected , intelligent world . Based on the company ’ s vision and mission , Huawei has developed its sustainability strategy , considering sustainability to be one of its priorities and incorporating it into the company ’ s overall development strategy .

Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited ( PTCL ) and Cisco have announced a strategic partnership to deliver services to businesses in Pakistan through signing a Service Provider Partnership agreement . Under this partnership , both companies aim to work collectively and modernize the IT infrastructure by offering cost-effective and innovative services . This will , not only be limited to technology , but will also include providing strategic guidance and roadmaps to successfully navigate the customer ’ s Digital Transformation journey .
