wWhat would you describe as your most memorable achievement ?

From a professional perspective , I would say that finding a workplace that provides a supportive and inclusive environment makes a big difference . Corning offers its employees such an environment which accelerates growth , innovation , and personal development and as a result , I am fortunate to work alongside some of the best minds in the industry . I ’ m blessed to have created many fond memories with my team at Corning . The drive and passion each one brings to work has been inspiring . There is one moment that stands out in my mind , and it is a memory from February 2019 when I was recognised by Corning for an achievement that seemed only theoretically possible five years before that moment .
The recognition was memorable not only because of the scale of the achievement but also because it involved the cooperation , hard work and commitment from all our team members . The team support and feeling was so genuine and full of warmth that I always like to relive that moment .
What first made you think of a career in technology ?
I was , am , and will always be fascinated by mankind ’ s unlimited capability to grow and find solutions using trial and error to overcome challenges we are faced with . Technology in my view embodies the philosophy of exploration that always inspires us . Technology is also factual and relevant , and it is a place where I find my peace within . Once I started my career in the technology sector , I knew this was where I could explore my passion , and my time at Corning has helped fuel it further .
What style of management philosophy do you employ with your current position ?
I would like to call it learning by doing . I see myself in a flux of constant learning and I would like my team to think the same . I try to employ the basis of scientific methodology when faced with a new challenge – such as asking questions , research , creating hypothesis , experiment to test , analyse data and then draw a final conclusion , and communicate . I also encourage all of us to examine work situations from our customers ’ and partners ’ point of view , as this approach allows to remove bias , focus on facts , and make informed decisions .
Infrastructure will continue to be a main driver for investment because the world that we want to live in requires specific levels of technologyinfrastructure advancement .
