Datacentrix supports Athlone High School ’ s future vision

Hybrid IT systems integrator and managed services provider , Datacentrix , has set up a partnership with Athlone High School , assisting the school in kitting out its computer room , as well as providing training moving forward . Based in Athlone , a suburb of Cape Town in the Western Cape , South Africa , the school was founded in 1947 and has a rich history of academic excellence , cultural firsts and sporting successes .

SFriedall Swarts , Head of Sales , Western Cape region , Datacentrix , said : “ Datacentrix is firmly pro-education and is willing to help previously disadvantaged South Africans to further themselves . In line with this ethos , and our ongoing dedication to community development , we donated hardware to Athlone High School , including printers for the school ’ s library , as well as for the principal ’ s office , and printers , copiers , laptops , desktops and monitors for the computer room .”
Hendricks added : “ Two of my main focus areas as leader are literacy and e-learning , and our library and computer lab are two significant spaces for the improvement of reading skills and e-learning . We will utilise the technology infrastructure optimally so that Athlone High can achieve its vision of good administration and sound academic results .”

ATEN ’ s new local presence in Johannesburg brings on-demand support for range of connectivity solutions

ATEN International , a global provider of audio visual / information technology connectivity and management solutions , has announced it is establishing a local presence in Johannesburg , after being a player in the local market for the past six years . Customers will be able to enjoy local support and a virtual interactive showroom , for hands on training and product demonstration , all from the local office based in Hyde Park , Johannesburg .

Benji Pienaar , Sales Manager , ATEN South Africa , explained that the company has made an extensive investment into opening an experience room or showroom that will allow customers to experience much of the company ’ s product range in a live environment .
“ ATEN will be opening a showroom for customers to come and view and experience our products . The experience room will not only allow customers to physically see the products , but also experience how they work in certain builds . In addition , ATEN will also provide extensive product training ,” said Pienaar .
