Africa Data Centres the only pan-African network of interconnected , carrier- and cloud-neutral data centres on the continent , has completed its new Johannesburg data centre , based in its Midrand Campus which is one of the largest in Africa . The ultra-modern facility continues to strengthen the leading position that Africa Data Centres has in the South African market .

EGYPT
Egypt ’ s Communications and Information Technology Minister has revealed the country ’ s intent to improve Internet connectivity for 60 million Egyptians living in about 4,500 villages by upgrading broadband infrastructure . The North African country plans to invest more than US $ 360 million to connect one million households with fiber-optic cables .

To offer efficient and robust services to their customers , KenTrade has entered into a consortium partnership with Cellulant Ecobank and GAINDE 2000 . With the new partnership , importers and exporters in Kenya will enjoy premium services on the TradeNet system , an online platform that serves as a single entry point for parties involved in international trade and transport logistics .

NIGERIA
IT financing and leasing specialists , InnoVent , has announced the opening of its third African office in Lagos , Nigeria . The move gives Nigeria ’ s fast-growing digital-first enterprises an accessible IT expansion model that also allows them to take a concrete step into the circular economy . The opening of the new West African office follows only months after the successful opening of an office in Nairobi , Kenya , to serve the East African market .

SENEGAL
Social enterprise Paradigm Initiative ( PIN ), known for building an ICT-enabled support system and advocating digital rights for under-served youth , recently hosted a hybrid festival in Senegal . PIN works to connect underserved young Africans with digital opportunities and ensures protection of their rights . Across its regional offices in Cameroon , Kenya , Nigeria , Senegal , Zambia , Zimbabwe and beyond , the company works to connect African youth with improved livelihoods through digital inclusion .
