NIGERIA
The Nigerian government has announced that it has secured the sum of $ 72 million from the World Bank for the 36 states of the federation to develop a land information system . The development was disclosed at the recently held Geoinformation Society of Nigeria 2020 Annual Conference in Abuja by Ogbonnaya Onu , Minister of Science and Technology , who was represented by the Acting Director- General , National Space Research and Development Agency , Francis Chizea .

Huawei has proposed a plan to technologically urbanise underdeveloped cities in Egypt . Egypt ’ s New Administrative Capital ( NAC ) is currently Huawei ’ s strategic customer in the Egyptian market due to its massive investment opportunities , according to Michael Lee , Head of Corporate Group , Huawei North Africa . The Egyptian government is undertaking large investments in the country ’ s telecommunications sector , as seen in its development of the NAC .

Vodacom Tanzania PLC and Laina Finance Limited have partnered to come up with a smartphone financing plan that makes it possible for more Tanzanians to access quality smartphones in a convenient and affordable way .
