Vertiv signs distribution partnership with Cybersecurity South Africa
Africa Mobile Networks extends Gilat ’ s contract of powering Africa ’ s largest satellite cellular backhaul network
Gilat Satellite Networks Ltd , a worldwide supplier of satellite networking technology , solutions and services , has announced the extension of Gilat ’ s contract with Africa Mobile Networks ( AMN ) to power the largest satellite cellular backhaul network in Africa .
AMN ’ s network enabled by Gilat ’ s technology serves multiple Tier-1 telcos in over 10 countries throughout Africa .
“ AMN has selected Gilat , due to its superior technology , to further extend Africa ’ s largest satellite cellular backhaul network constructed by AMN and powered by Gilat ’ s VSAT technology ,” said Michael Darcy , CEO AMN .
Vertiv , a global provider of critical digital infrastructure and continuity solutions , has signed a distribution partnership with Cybersecurity South Africa ( CSSA ), a cybersecurity solutions distributor . The partnership will address the current data centre challenges being faced in the country , by enabling availability through Vertiv ’ s premium infrastructure technologies and speed of delivery through CSSA ’ s developed distribution capabilities . The timing of this partnership is particularly opportune . Remote workforces have escalated demand for connectivity and South Africa has not been exempt from this trend . Telecom service providers have also reported a 40 % jump in data usage and with no signs of this upsurge subsiding , mechanisms have to be in place to safeguard against overloads with a focus on back-up power sources .
