EGYPT Amr Talaat, the Minister of Communication and Information Technology in Egypt, has announced the ministry is close to completing six technology parks in Minya, Menoufiya, Mansoura, Sohag, Qena and Aswan. During a conference held by the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) in Cairo, Talaat added that these parks will support technological entrepreneurship and would include training facilities for AI, data science and cybersecurity. KENYA PayGo Energy, a Kenyan company, is achieving success with a smart device that helps households monitor and manage gas consumption. Its Cylinder Smart Meter also helps gas retailers extend reach and track distribution metrics. Users’ cylinders are connected to the cloud and their mobile phones.
