GHANA
The Government in Ghana has approved the Public
Communication Technology University Bill to make the
Takoradi Campus of the Ghana Technology University College
(GTUC) fully autonomous. The bill, when finally assented by
President Nana Akufo-Addo, will position the university to
deliver technology focused education in the country.
NIGERIA
The UK has declared its support to the tech sector in Nigeria.
The UK–Nigeria Tech Hub is set to launch intervention
programmes to support Nigeria’s Tech ecosystem, following
its recently concluded survey in the country on start-ups and
investors. The project includes a digital skills programme to
support Nigeria’s Information Technology sector.
