Yu and the God of Thunder

Thousands of years ago, there was a great dragon named Yu who lived among the humans who venerated him because he was “yang” which meant good, and because he was always ready to help them. One day, the God of Thunder, jealous of the attention Yu was getting, crushed the sky in anger with his hatchet. The sky fell on earth, in seven pieces, black like coal, taking light from all existing things. At first, Yu felt sad for the world, but then felt nostalgic. He collected the black pieces of sky in memory of the former world and began to reassemble the animals, plants, and humans - all things that had disappeared. After finishing each shape, it’s shadow left it and wandered the deserted world crying of it's misfortune. The complaints reached the ears of the God of Thunder who began to regret the harm that he had caused. He pulled from each shadow, the body of a living being to repopulate the earth. From that time on, our shadow faithfully follows every move we make.
