Shark Fin Cupcakes
MATERIALS
● 1 dozen cupcakes, with decorative liners, made from a recipe of your choosing
● A batch of vanilla icing
● Blue and black food dye
● 3 piping bags
● 1 colour swirl set: linking tips, coupler, 1M piping tip
● Sea themed decor: edible pearls, shark fins (in this case, I made them from fondant), etc.
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Divide the icing into 3 equal parts.
2. Dye each part – white, light blue, and dark blue.
3. Fit 3 piping bags with linking tips from the colour swirl set.
4. Fill each bag with a different colour of icing.
5. Clip each of the linking tips together.
6. Screw on the 1M tip and the coupler.
7. Practice piping the icing to ensure that the 3 colours combine into swirls.
8. Pipe your wavy patterns onto the cupcakes in 3 offset rows.
9. Add fondant shark fins and edible pearls for decor.
10. Enjoy your wavy creation!
