To make a yummy gooey s’more For a recipe you’ve never heard before You might need a frog or two Make sure this s’more is just for you You will need A cracker for me And two for you A string of hair from a Russian buckaroo A sticky smelly block of mold Lily, 12 And a fish 7th Grade Oh yes and don’t forget International DO NOT EAT THIS School of Indiana When I first walk in I hear the noises starting to roll in The kids who laugh at every little thing The boys who shouts and scream about who won at basketball Then the girls who chitchat about the mall The younger kids who drops their forks and spoons The teachers sipping through there mugs Remind me next time, to bring some Ariel, 12 earplugs 7th Grade International School of Indiana ndianapolis ndianapolis QUIET POEM AFTER SCHOOL The thumping of kids released from class like a stampede of elephants The sound of volley balls being hit in the gym. The groups of friends talking, running, laughing. Tennis shoes kicking lockers. Pencils and papers stuffed in bags. Anxious teachers yelling at kids holding up the carline. The sounds of joy and anger lost in the void as I walk alone out of the jungle of noise.
