Celebrating Women ’ s History Month
A Conversation About Life , Love , and Laughter ! by JOHNNY TAN
On the cusp of Spring each year , March is a perfect month to celebrate women ’ s contribution to our history , culture , and society . Looking back on my life , I have been extremely fortunate and blessed to have had nine extraordinary ladies who have nurtured and nourished my heart , mind , body , and spirit from the day I was born to becoming the person I am today .
These women , whom I called my 9 Moms , were my teachers , coaches , and counselors . They helped me navigate life , understand and embrace the power of unconditional love , and , most importantly , never forget to laugh by finding humor in everything I do .
The 2023 Women ’ s History Month theme is “ Celebrating Women Who Tell Our Stories .” It ’ s focus is to recognize “ women , past and present , who have been active in all forms of media and storytelling including print , radio , TV , stage , screen , blogs , podcasts , news , and social media .” I am happy to say that we at From My Mama ’ s Kitchen ® Org have always been excited to do our part in helping to recognize and showcase women for their contributions to making our world a better place to live and prosper for individuals and families . My 9 Moms taught me a long time ago that personal success begins at home , and guess what - Moms are the COOs , if not the CEOs of their families !
