“I try to emanate
something private,
exposing the beauty
within. It is not just a
portrait of a beautiful
girl, I seek muses who
have beauty in their
eyes and souls, not only
beautiful faces.”
Inspired by many things, Orwald likes to contemplate
the works of her favourite photographers: Paolo Roversi,
Irving Penn, Laura Makabresku, Richard Avedon and many
others. She adores walking around the city, finding new places
and imagining what model she will put in the location and
what outfit will fit best in the scene. Also inspired by fashion
and architecture, she enjoys blending modern and classic
styles. Generally, new impressions create new ideas which she
embodies in her art, which is why she hopes to travel more in
the future, to expand her frame of reference.
Orwald reflects:
“I’m changing, growing and evolving in order
to be a better photographer. I’m broadening my
mind, learning about the world. Photography
improves me, helps me to become better, to be
more sensitive and attentive to the beauty that
surrounds me.
“I’m becoming more demanding in composition,
colour, emotions and the post-production of my
images. It’s interesting for me to try new styles
and widen my circle of creative connections.
Photography gave me a lot of new friends, like-
minded people, wonderful moments and it
makes my life more colourful and full of beauty
every day.”
