social impact projects, the elaborate sets of Von Wong’s
photography combine the magic of digital post-production
with resourcefulness in overcoming technical obstacles.
One of his completed projects, which protests the
annual killing of nearly 100 million sharks, features a model
anchored beneath the water’s surface as real sharks swim
around her. Shark Shepherd was a wild success and generated
80,000 petition signatures to support the establishment of
shark conservation areas in Malaysia.
