Our name evokes excellence by
drawing on the legacy of
Ernest Langford, former mayor and the
“Father of College Station.”
Our roots
run deep.
Dedicated to a tradition of excellence.
The Langford name draws its inspiration from Ernest Langford,
Class of 1913, and the head of the Architecture Department at Texas A&M
University from 1929 to 1956. The Langford Architecture Center is named
in his honor. Mr. Langford is also revered as the “Father of College
Station,” having served as mayor from 1942 to 1965.
In 2018, The Langford opened to serve the seniors of College Station.
We draw on a proud tradition of serving seniors for 56 years through our
sister community, Crestview, in Bryan. With The Langford, we open our
hearts to serve even more Brazos Valley seniors.
Our “architecture for living”
reflects Langford’s philosophy
as an A&M professor.
