FRIENDS OF CHAMBER MUSIC USIC 01 MAR 08 APRIL The Bluebonnet Opry was formed in 1998 by Allison Crowson. The monthly show is now held every third Thursday at Silver Wings Ballroom. The nonprofit organization is dedicated to benefitting Hospice Brazos Valley. FREE Parking Exceptional Ensembles and Musicians Friends of Chamber Music presents ensembles and musicians of exceptional national and international renown. The March 1 concert, in collaboration with Concerts on Carter Creek, will feature the world première of Sergio Molina’s Quintet n. 2 for guitar quartet and piano with the Quarternaglia Guitar Quartet and James Dick, piano. On April 8, Ars Lyrica Houston and the Moores School Concert Chorale will close the 2017- 18 season. With 28 voices in the Chorale, five soloists, and 25 instrumentalists, this concert will offer a rare musical experience that will test the perceived limits of chamber music.
