McFerrin Center for Entrepreneurship
Since 1999, the McFerrin Center
has trained visionaries from all
industries to transform ideas into
successful businesses. The center
is a powerhouse of innovation,
encompassing 27 programs serving
more than 3,000 students and 1,000
former students per year. From
startup incubator competitions to
the Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for
Veterans, its programs have been
touted as transformative and inspiring.
Meet the new McFerrin Center, the
hub for entrepreneurial-minded
Aggies, and learn how to ideate,
nurture, and scale your business
ideas. Visit entrepreneur.tamu.edu.
The center houses programs
such as the Aggie 100 Awards,
Startup Aggieland, Aggie
Entrepreneurship Saturday,
3-Day Startup, the MBA Venture
Challenge, the Raymond Ideas
Challenge, and the Reynolds
and Reynolds Entrepreneurship
Bootcamp for Veterans.
Recent additions include coordination
of the NSF’s I-CorpsTM program,
management of the Aggie Angel Network
and Blackstone LaunchPad, and
organization of the first Texas A&M High
School Entrepreneurship Camp.
Thanks to the support of
late Texas A&M University
benefactor Arthur “Artie”
McFerrin Jr. ’65, his
entrepreneurial spirit continues
to inspire future generations of
Aggies. His generous gift has
also resulted in the renaming
of Mays Business School’s
Center for New Ventures and
Entrepreneurship in his honor.
