2013 roadshow roundup Outlook’s tale on life Spreading the word Meal at Nando’s with Outlook Having toured the county with 7 roadshows this year, it is time to take stock and have a look at what we have achieved. The roadshows have involved not just Insight but other suppliers bringing a wider range of products to demonstrate than we can hold in our main Resource Centre in Cheltenham. Insight’s young person’s group has been out exploring the gastronomic details of Cheltenham recently . Back in June, the Outlook group got together for a meal at Nando’s in the Brewery Complex in Cheltenham. For many, the location was fairly central and easy to get to, which made for minimal transport issues. Here is just a little review of the restaurant, and the night. While I don’t consider one chicken breast and one side order for £9.50 very cheap, the prices are not unaffordable, and you certainly get enough to satisfy your appetite. Likewise they offer unlimited free refills on soft drink. Overall we had nearly 300 people coming through the doors to see what was on offer and speak to the reps and, of course, our own staff. The weather on some days did prove damp, but the atmosphere was enthusiastic. We have had some wonderful reviews of the events. As it was a Friday night, we expected the restaurant to be busy and therefore quite noisy. While this was certainly the case, we were sitting in a quieter area of the restaurant which made conversation possible. Likewise, as there were not too many of us, we managed to have a conversation at least once with everyone we wanted to catch up with. Immediately on arriving, a braille and large print menu was made available to us. The braille menu seemed up-to-date and very easy to overview.
