august Contest Results!
Last month we asked you what your favorite school movie was to help us ease back
into the new year, and we loved your responses! Mean Girls won some of you over,
with honorable mentions to The Blind Side
and The Breakfast Club. One of our favorite responses came from reader Brianna
Blackwell, who said:
“My favorite school flick is Sister Act 2. I love
that movie because of the soul within the
movie. It reminded me of my fellow peers
in school and how we used to kid around,
sing our favorite songs in the playground,
and just be drama-free. Though we faced
much ‘inner-city blues.’ We were happy,
carefree and just enjoyed being a kid.”
We chose an answer at random from the
INSIGHT
responses, and we landed on Tiffany Taylor Blake’s choice, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.
“Ferris Bueller’s Day Off was one of my favorite school movies. Everyone had a day that
they wanted to play hookie from school.
You and your friends plan it for weeks and
there is always one teacher or staff member that catches on to the plot and wants
to mess it up or call your parents. Then every time you sneak and do something you
always got caught. This was an awesome
movie growing up.”
Congratulations, Tiffany! Keep an eye on
your inbox for information about picking
up your free AmStar passes!
